Principal

Brannyn McDougal

Brannyn brings 20 years of professional experience in planning and land use.  She directs projects ranging from the planning of rapidly changing communities to the detailed research and documentation of historic preservation projects. Brannyn has worked in both the public and private sector, which provides her with a unique appreciation for the role that government, the private sector, and citizens play in shaping communities.  She specializes in the interdisciplinary fields of comprehensive plans, development regulations, land use and development, and placemaking.  She has practiced in both rural and urban areas, and understands the role of the consultant as listener and facilitator.

Before founding Gray Planning in 2009, Brannyn worked in a variety of roles in land development and urban planning in Georgia, Florida, and Texas.

Catherine Redfearn

Catherine Redfearn has over 15 years of experience working with communities, nonprofits and regional cooperatives. Rather than “cookie cutter” solutions, Catherine’s focus is geared toward client needs bringing creative, dynamic, and unique results to every project. She specializes in placemaking,  land use planning, preservation, and marketing. She has worked on a variety of projects and brings a breadth and depth of experience with the overarching interest in helping communities build forward-thinking plans based on their unique character and assets.

Partners for Place and Gray Planning Studio have collaborated on numerous projects in Oklahoma and Texas.

Executive Team

Jami Dunsford

Jami has over 20 years of experience as a detail-oriented assistant and analyst. Working with governments, nonprofits, and private businesses, she has a unique perspective on how leveled policy affects community outcome. Jami's background includes data analysis with a focus on legislative analysis and writing. She has comprehensive experience drafting and editing publications, reports, and procedures. Jami has served as a Project Manager and Business Support Specialist in the private sector where she assisted in customer service, marketing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks. She believes every task deserves attention and will assist both Brannyn and Catherine in day-to-day operations, client services, communication, and reporting.
